Braeburn demonstrated impressive technology and problem-solving skills during the Young Programmers Competition held on 15th May 2026 at Peponi House. The event brought together young programmers from several schools, providing an exciting opportunity for collaboration, innovation, and competition.
Our pupils participated across different age categories, confidently taking on a range of coding, design, and computational thinking challenges. In the Under-11 category, the team earned an impressive 3rd place in Computational Thinking, while the Under 13s secured excellent 2nd place finishes in both the Coding and HTML categories. Throughout the day, our innovators showcased creativity, teamwork, resilience, and strong analytical thinking.
The competition also featured an Under-9 robotics programme, where younger participants explored the basics of robotics and programming through engaging hands-on activities. Overall, the event was a fantastic experience for all involved, helping to inspire curiosity, confidence, and enthusiasm for future learning in STEM subjects.
