The Nairobi Junior Swimming Championship & Long Distance Open Meet

Braeburn swimmers took part in the swimming gala that was held at the Makini School in Nairobi on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November. Our swimmers, who put in 3 hours of hard practice every week, had their efforts repaid with the following impressive results:

- 11 & Under Boys – 1st Position.
- 11 & Under Girls - 2nd Position.
- Open Events Girls – 1st Position.
- Open Events Boys – 1st Position.
Individual Score
6 & Under Girls - Miya Murakami 1st Position (Trophy)
7 Year Olds Girls - Miya Murakami 1st Position (Trophy)
9 Year Olds Girls - Veerle Rienks 3rd Position.
10 Year Olds Boys – Marvin De Guzman 1st Position (Trophy)
11 Year Olds Girls – Dieuwke Rienks 2nd Position.
It is also worth noting that two students from Braeburn set several new meet records: Miya set 5 and Marvin set 6.
Well done to the entire swim team and to their coaches who prepared them exceptionally well throughout the term!
