Braeburn Swimmers Rise to the Occasion in London

May 12, 2026

Braeburn proudly took a team of 18 swimmers from both Primary and High School to represent the school at the World Swimming Games in London. The team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition, with every swimmer achieving personal best times across their events. Special congratulations go to Sienna, Mariel and Liya who all qualified for finals in their respective backstroke events, while Sienna also earned a second finals qualification in freestyle.

The competition also saw excellent performances from the rest of the squad, including Caitlin, Noah, Adam, Ivana, Valentina, Joudy, Quitijin, Ivar, Swabri and Christie , all of whom demonstrated determination, resilience, and commitment in the pool. Beyond the races, the students created lasting memories as they travelled on the famous London Underground and enjoyed an exciting sightseeing tour aboard a classic double-decker bus around the city.

A massive thank you goes to all the parents for their unwavering support throughout the trip and competition. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Isige and Mr. Otiato for chaperoning the team during their time in the UK and ensuring the swimmers had a safe, enjoyable, and successful experience both in and out of the pool.
